MPEG-4 - DMIF

The Delivery Multimedia Integration Framework hides the concrete transport network for multimedia object streams. The DMIF chooses a suitable network to enable the transport of multimedia streams. As a result it does not matter, if the so called Elementary Streams are delivered by a local hard disk, a remote-interactive network or a broadcast scenario.
Actual research activities concentrate on the aspect of a Broadcast scenario over IP-Multicast networks within DMIF.

MPEG-4 - PC Tools and Implementations

Starting point of all activities related to MPEG-4 at this institute was the MPEG-4 PC project funded by the European Union.
